Jalapeno poppers are my favourite thing to snack on. If it’s a pizza night we always add an order of jalapeno poppers with it. If I had the ingredients at home I’d make it in an instant. It’s that easy.
All you need is a few ingredients. Put it all together and bake it for a delicious treat. Whether it is to impress your guests at the party, need a bite on a game day or even to satisfy your own cravings, treat yourself to this tasty poppers.
HOW IT’S MADE
Well, I’d say there is no cooking involved but don’t get too excited just yet. You do need to bake it in the oven. It’s easy I promise. I’ll walk you through it.
Let’s look at the 3 main things we’ll need.
Tthe jalapeno peppers
Look for healthy fresh looking jalapenos. We will be cutting it lengthwise and take out the insides to reduce the heat but If you like the spice you may leave them as is. I used 4 jalapenos for the 2 of us. Made 10 poppers. Delicious and was oozing with cheese wrapped in crispy chicken.
The Cheese Fillings
Philadelphia original cream cheese is my go-to ingredient for all my poppers. I usually always end up customizing the flavours unless I get one that is already flavoured. Most grocery stores have more than one flavoured cream cheese in their shelves. Like the garlic & herbs, Jalapeno & cheddar flavoured. If you get the original make your own flavours with the spices you already have in the kitchen.
Beside seasoning my cream cheese with spices I also added the goat cheese and a bit of cheddar cheese as well. It tasted rich and delicious.
The Chicken Wrap
I used Zabiha’s breakfast chicken stripes to wrap the cheese filled jalapeno. You can use the same breakfast chicken stripes or bacon if you prefer. I found turkey breakfast stripes too so it is all up to you what you prefer to wrap it with as long as it comes in thinly cut long stripes.
OR You can skip wrapping it with the stripes all together and sprinkle some panko breadcrumbs on top of the cheese for a simpler, crispy layer.
Now, all there is to do is assemble the ingredients together and bake it until it is done. Wait until it is warm enough to pop it in your mouth and bite into the oozing cheese filled treat.

Chicken Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers with 3 Kind Cheese – Fingerlicking Delicious
Fresh jalapenos stuffed in with cheddar, goat and cream cheese. Then wrapped it with chicken strips and baked to perfection. Satisfy your cravings with this jalapeno poppers.
Ingredients
- 5 fresh Jalapeno peppers
- 10 Zabiha’s halal breakfast chicken strips cut it lengthwise-optional
- 3 tbsp Philadelphia original cream cheese
- 3 tbsp Soft goat cheese optional
- 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese optional
- 1/4 tsp Chili powder optional
- 1/4 tsp Chili flakes optional
Instructions
-
Let’s start by prepping the fillings by combining the cream cheese, goat cheese, shredded cheddar cheese or cut them in small cubes along with the chilli flakes and the chilli powder for flavour.
-
If you decide to use only the cream cheese and not the cheddar or the goat cheese that’s fine go for it.
-
Next, wash the fresh jalapenos, then cut it lengthwise all the way down along with the stem. Remove and discard the insides of the jalapenos that we don’t need.
-
Pre-heat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit. Then take enough amount of cheese fillings to fill the insides of the jalapeno. Next, wrap the entire jalapeno with the chicken strips.
-
Arrange them all on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake them for about 15 min then broil it for another 2 more minutes to turn the top layer golden and crispy.
-
Wait until it is warm enough to serve with your favourite dippings.
