Think Javy Coffee Meringues!
How Its Made
Coffee meringue cookies without cream of tartar. Easy 3 ingredient dessert recipe. All you need are the egg whites, granulated sugar and my not-so-secret ingredient, the Javy coffee concentrate for flavours.
The first step is to separate the egg whites from the yolk. Use the egg whites to whisk or beat on medium/high speed for about a minute or until it fluffs up forming bubbles.
Next, add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time while still beating the egg whites. The sugar will soon start to dissolve. The meringues mixture will become smoother with a silkier texture.
When the meringues reach a soft peak, add the Javy microdose and continue to beat until it becomes a firm/stiff peak.
How to check the meringues peak?
To check its peak, lift the beater out of the bowl and hold the beater upside down to check the consistency.
The meringue on the tip of the beater is sticking straight up, it is at a stiff peak. If the ends of the tip have a slight curve at the end, it is a firm peak. If it is falling or melting off to aside, it is a soft peak.
It takes a few minutes of whisking, an hour of baking and an hour of cooling to truly enjoy this dessert. It always comes out with a crunchy crispier outside and a slight chewy candy-like texture inside.
This is one way to satisfy coffee and sugar cravings together.

Javy Coffee Meringues | Easy 3 Ingredients Dessert Recipe
Javy coffee flavoured meringues kisses. Easy 3 ingredient recipe. Meringue without the cream of tartar. Satisfy your coffee cravings with Javy coffee concentrate.
Ingredients
- 2 Large Egg whites
- 1/2 Cup Granulated sugar
- 1/2 Tsp Javy Microdose Coffee Concentrate
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 225F (105C) and line a 9×13" baking tray with foil or parchment papperand set aside.
-
Whisk or beat the egg whites on medium speed for about a minute or until it starts to develop foamy air bubbles.
-
Increase the beating speed to medium/high. Add granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while still continuing to beat the egg whites. The meringues will soon turn from bubbly to a silkier smoother texture.
-
When the sugar starts dissolving and it reaches a soft peak, add the Javy microdose and continue to beat until it becomes a firm/stiff peak.
-
To check the peak, remove the beater from the bowl and hold it upside down. If the mixture from the tip of the beater, falls off to a side it is a soft peak. When the mixture is holding to a curve but not falling, it is firm peak. If the tip of the beater holds it upright it is a stiff peak (See image "Coffee Meringues Peak" above).
-
Once the meringue reaches a stiff peak, place a 1/4th cup scoop of the meringue mixture on the prepared baking tray. The meringues can be placed close by but not touching.
-
Place it in the oven and bake for an hour. When the hour is done, without opening the oven, turn off the oven and let the meringues sit inside for another hour.
-
Wait until it completely cools down. Store them in an air-tight container, away from heat and moisture.
