Ingredients

  • 1 cup Samaposha
  • 1 cup Coconut freshly scraped or frozen
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Jaggery pieces optional
  • pinch Salt
  • Water as need

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine Samaposha, coconut, sugar, jaggery, and a pinch of salt. Add water a tablespoon at a time and mix to bind everything together. Take a small portion, squeeze gently, and roll into a smooth round shape ball.
Recipe notes
  1. If the mixture feels too dry, or breaking into crumbles not holding together, add a few drops of water — not too much.
  2. If you felt its way too sticky, add samaposha to balance the right consistency to hold the shape.
  3. Swap sugar for honey, maple syrup, or date paste.
  4. Use freshly grated coconuts for better texture and fresh flavour.
  5. Take it to another level by adding oats, raisins, or chopped almonds and peanuts
