  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 4 Cardamom pods
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Peanuts or cashews roasted (optional)

Method

  1. Prep First: Line a tray with parchment paper. Butter a knife and spatula for later.
  2. Make Syrup: Heat sugar and water in a deep pan over medium heat until it becomes a clear syrup.
  3. Add Flavor: Lower the heat and stir in condensed milk, vanilla, and crushed cardamom.
  4. Stir Constantly: Keep stirring for about 15 minutes to prevent burning and until it thickens slighly.
  5. Add Butter & Nuts: Add butter and optional roasted nuts. Stir until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  6. Set & Slice: Pour into the tray with parchment paper, smooth it out with the buttered spatula or a knife, and slice while warm. Let it cool completely serving or storing.
