Sri Lankan Cucumber Sambal Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cucumber shaved or sliced thin
  • 2 Shallots sliced
  • 1 Thai green chilies sliced
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp Lime juice

Method
 

  1. Wash the cucumber and trim both ends. Peel the skin if you prefer.
  2. Use a peeler to slice it into thin ribbons or rounds. Squeeze out excess water.
  3. Finely slice the onions and green chili pepper.
  4. Add everything to a bowl.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and lime juice.
  6. Mix well and enjoy while fresh.
