Spicy Beef Onion Sambal Recipe

Ingredients
  

🧅Base Ingredients
  • Oil of your choice
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 Sundried red chili pepper
  • few Curry leaves
  • 2 medium Onions sliced thin
  • 1 small Tomato diced small
  • 2 Thai green chili
🌶️Spices
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Chili flakes
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
  • Salt to taste

  • 250g Beef cube

Method
 

  1. Heat oil to pan-fry the beef. When well done, remove from oil and set aside.
  2. Use the same leftover oil to continue cooking. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and sundried red chili pepper. Let them splutter.
  3. Add sliced onions, diced tomatoes, and sauté until onions softens.
  4. Combine turmeric, chili flakes, chili powder, and salt. Stir well then add the green chilies, continue to cook until onions caramelize.
  5. Cooking tips: Remember to stir often to avoid food sticking to the pan. Add oil if it looks dry.
  6. Combine the pan-fried beef to the onions. Stir well, cover with lid, let it simmer on low heat for about a minute.
  7. Remove lid, add salt to taste, further cook for 5-8 minutes before removing from heat.
