Lime Pickle Sambal Recipe

This recipe is all about simplicity. Just five ingredients and five minutes of your time.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium-size Red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 Thai green chili peppers sliced
  • 1 tbsp Lime pickle I use Mother’s Recipe brand – hot
  • 3 tbsp Milk adjust for creaminess
  • 1 tsp Chili flakes or chili powder optional, for extra heat

Method
 

  1. Slice the onions and green chilies thin.
  2. Combine onions, green chili, lime pickle, milk, and chili powder or flakes to a bowl.
  3. Mix thoroughly—I use clean hands to help the flavors meld.
  4. Taste and adjust:
    o More milk for creaminess
    o More lime pickle for tang
    o More chili flakes for heat
