Hotdog Buns Recipe

Soft, golden homemade hotdog buns wrapped around juicy franks — the perfect party snack for potlucks, game nights, and family gatherings. Easy to make, kid‑friendly, customizable, and always a crowd‑pleaser.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cup All purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Instant yeast
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Water as need
  • 1 pack Hotdogs, wieners, or sausages
  • 1 Egg beaten well for brushing

Method
 

  1. Mix dry ingredients (flour, sugar, yeast, and salt) in a bowl. Gradually add the wet ingredients (butter and water) and knead into a smooth dough. Cover it with a cloth or cling wrap and let rise for about 20 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough to desired size to roll it flatter. Use a dough roller to flatter each piece. Use a knife to cut the doughs vertically like stripes.
  3. Cut hotdogs into desired sizes. Take each piece of dough stripe and wrap it closely around the piece of hotdog. Line them up on a baking tray.
  4. Brush each hotdog wrapped dough with a beaten egg. Bake them at 350'F for 20-30 minutes until golden on top.
