Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Samaposha
  • 1/2 cup Coconut scraped or desiccated coconuts
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Jaggery (in small pieces or scrapped) optional
  • pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Water or as needed need more if using desiccated coconuts

Instructions

  1. Add scrapped coconuts, sugar, jaggery (optional), and a pinch salt to the samaposha.
  2. Combine a tsp of water and give it a good mix first. Use your dominant hand to take a small portion, squeeze if needed to, make round shape balls the size of a golf-ball.
  3. If it is difficult to form a ball - not holding or if it continues to crumble off when shaping, add a few extra drops of water to help hold the shape. Too much water is not good. Use as little water as you can and continue to form golf-ball size shape until the rest are all made into small round shaped balls as well.
  4. Serve at any time of the day.
